To art and nature-loving volunteers - An invitation to participate
The Elora Arts Council is hosting a vibrant outdoor painting festival this spring. We are inviting plein air artists from all over to come and capture our charming village, heritage town, amazing river gorges and rolling farmlands.
This can't happen without our team of great volunteers. If you enjoy helping people discover our wonderful community we need you!
We make volunteering easy with a variety of scheduling options and solid orientation to make your volunteer experience enjoyable. Your help, big or small, really will make a difference. Here are some of the ways you can contribute:
Advance work: Distribute posters/cards
During festival:
Greet the artists, help them to register and provide information. Assist artists returning canvases for storage May 14 - 17, 7 am - 9 pm
Jury/Show/Sale:
Help the public make their purchases and assist with packaging May 17 1pm - 5pm
Social: Artists/Volunteer Breakfast, May 19, 9 am-noon
Show/Sale: Gallery Attendants, May 17 , 1 pm - 5 pm
Show/Sale: Process sales, record sales data, May 17, 1 pm – 5 pm
End of event: Clean–up gallery, May 17
